Since 1979, The Gocery Foundation has worked to provide snacks and meals to enrich the lives of many deserving children. Today, The Grocery Foundation continues to work towards providing nutrition meals to children in communities across Ontario and Atlantic Canada. The Grocery Foundation aims to provide children the essentials they need to be successful and ultimately allows kids to be kids.
For close to thirty five years, organization have turned to The Grocery Foundation for assistance and we’ve been proud to answer the call. To date, with the support of retailers, food manufacturers, shoppers and like-minded individuals, The Grocery Foundation has raised over $80 million, which has been distributed throughout over 250 organizations.
This year, our Toonies for Tummies goal is to raise $1M with the support of the brand you know and love and participating retailers. The success that The Grocery Foundation has seen, through the power of many of our generous sponsors, is something that we want to continue to grow in the coming years. We have a unique opportunity to help our communities while also giving our sponsors and retail and like-minded partners a way to touch individuals on a regular basis.
Now more than ever before, consumers are socially conscious shoppers. People want to know that their donations are going to support their own community, which is why The Grocery Foundation Toonies for Tummies campaign puts their money right back into the communities that support them. As proud as we are of our past, we are equally excited about the future. Working alongside with organizations such as Rural Kids Program, Breakfast Clubs of Canada, Breakfast for Learning, Elementary Teacher Federation of Ontario, The Ontario Student Nutrition Program and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, more and more consumers are seeing the hard work and commitment that The Grocery Foundation puts towards ensuring that our children get a strong start and don’t go hungry.
