For more than 40 years, Janes— a brand of Sofina Foods— has been providing families across Canada with a range of delicious chicken and fish products that not only taste great, but are quick and easy to prepare.
At Sofina Foods, our commitment to families extends beyond providing great products—that’s why we launched the Sofina Foundation in 2007. With a focus on supporting causes related to children’s issues, we have proudly partnered with various charities across Canada and the U.S. with an aim to positively impact the communities in which we operate.
Our largest initiative, the Sofina & Amici Golf Classic, proudly broke the $2.5 million mark while celebrating its eighth year in 2015. Funds raised have supported a number of charities; namely, the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Ronald McDonald House Toronto School. We are proud to support these charities, as many families within our community rely on these organizations on a daily basis.
We also look within our own organization to fundraise for valiant causes. Each year, we run a national initiative, the Dream Builders’ Campaign, where employees throughout our company organize and take part in various initiatives to raise money in support of children’s causes. Each and every dollar raised is then matched, dollar-for-dollar, by the Sofina Foundation, doubling the impact. Funds raised in the past two years have supported the Children’s Wish Foundation. This national initiative has allowed us to grant numerous wishes for families of critically ill children across Canada and the U.S.
From product donations, to sponsorships, along with numerous third party partnerships, we continuously seek to expand our impact.
We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to support Toonies for Tummies, an effort that helps schools across Canada provide their students with essential nutritional options. With our history of providing quality food choices, as well as our commitment to supporting children’s causes, our partnership with Toonies for Tummies is, simply, a perfect match.
