Recipe Contest: The Ultimate Brunch Bagel B.E.L.T.

To make 4 Sandwiches you’ll need:

  • 4 Metro Selection Twelve Grain Bagels
  • 8 - 12 strips Schneiders Hickory Smoked Bacon (50% Less Salt)
    With 2 tbsp VH Honey Garlic Sauce
  • ¼ cup Hellman’s Mayo
    with ½ tsp of onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and ⅛ tsp of cayenne powder
  • 4 Burnbrae Eggs - Omega 3
    Fried over easy
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 slices boston lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded Balderson Aged Cheddar
  • 2 Classic Vlasic Dill pickles, thinly sliced

To make:

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.

2.Lay bacon in a single layer on cookie sheet, lined with parchment paper. On top side of bacon brush on VH Honey Garlic Marinade.

3.Bake for 20 - 25 minutes until bacon is cooked through. The bacon could be quite dark at the end from the sauce, but as long as the bacon itself is cooked a little lower, it won’t taste burnt.

4.Make the mayo by adding mayo and all spices together in a dish

5.Prepare the rest of your ingredients so when you build your sandwich everything is ready to go - but, leave the eggs to last!

6.To build: toast your bagel and then smear on a little mayo on either side of the bagel. From the bottom stack up lettuce, pickles, tomato, and bacon.

7.Add the warm fried eggs, a sprinkle of cheese and gently place the top of the bagel back on. Cut in half to expose that perfectly cooked egg and then enjoy!
