Recipe Contest: Decadent Dessert Nachos
You will need:
- Dempster’s Tortillas and/or Tostitos Nacho Chips
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup Kraft Hazelnut Spread
- 1 cup Natrel 35% Whipping Cream
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Choice of fancy toppings such as:
- Kit Kat
- Nestle Real Dairy Ice Cream
- Kellogg’s Cornflakes or Rice Krispies
1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Then, start by making crispy Dempster’s Tortilla chips. Combine white sugar and cinnamon together in a little bowl. Brush Tortilla with some olive oil on either side and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. Cut into 8 triangular pieces and bake for 10-12 minutes until crunchy.
3.Add a layer or Tostitos Nacho Chips on the bottom, and then top with crispy Dempster’s Tortillas.
4.Next, using a small size plastic bag, place ½ cup of Kraft Hazelnut Spread. Carefully cut a small corner off one side of the bag and then squeeze the spread all over the nachos.
5.Then, add any of the fun chocolate toppings such as chopped up Aero, Kit Kat, Smarties or even cereals such as Cornflakes or Rice Krispies.
6.Place nacho’s in the oven for 3- 4 minutes until the chocolate just starts to melt.
7.Then, top with homemade whipped cream! In a medium bowl, whisk (or use your electric whisk/beaters, beat together Natrel cream, icing sugar and vanilla until you have stiff peaks.
8.Add dollops of whipped cream, and ice cream all over for the perfect dessert!
